About Kat

Hi, I’m Kat!

Music has always been a big part of my life. I have sung for as long as I can remember. Picked up a guitar at 13 and started performing at 14. Music has taken me around the world, meeting and connecting with more people than I ever thought possible.

As a musician, performer and educator, I’ve seen how music can help people express themselves in new ways, grow in confidence and connect with others.

My work brings together several things I’m passionate about: performing, helping people develop their musical skills, encouraging creativity and creating community.

Through my experience working in secondary education and supporting musical events, I’ve developed an encouraging, practical approach that recognises everyone has something unique to bring to music.

I believe learning should feel supportive rather than intimidating, performances should create memorable experiences that are deeply enjoyed by the audience AND the performer, and community music should be about participation, enjoyment and connection.

Whatever session you become a part of;  learning your first chords, performing your favourite song or joining a group singalong, I want you to feel welcome, included and part of the moment.

I look forward to making music with you soon.
